What to expect: This resort is especially set up for families. A full schedule of adult and children's activities is offered – aerobics, dance, disco-dancing, Spanish lessons, camping, and non-motorized water sports. Supervised facilities and activities include air-conditioned clubs for children ages 0–4, 5–12, and teens up to 16. Amenity highlights: An artificial lake separates the hotel and a huge free-form pool flanked by two spa tubs. Spacious sand areas are provided for sunning, while a thatch-roof palapa offers shade on a 10-foot bluff above the beach. Additional recreational facilities include a jogging area, a batting cage, a climbing wall, a video-game arcade, and playground equipment. An open-air stage features shows nightly. Insider tip: Bordering the marina's docks (about a three-minute walk of the resort), is a broad walkway lined with shops, bars, and restaurants.
